SEO Specialist

SEO is part art, part science. If that inspires curiosity and excitement in you, then consider applying for our SEO Specialist position.

In this position you’ll be responsible for setting up and maintaining a portfolio of clients, and delivering on-time, proactive, responsive and creative SEO. You’ll work alongside our content writers and offsite specialists to produce competitive results for medical, dental and financial services websites. Direct client consultation as well as synchronization with Sales and Customer Services teams are a regular aspect of this role, so be sure your analytical skills are equally matched by your interpersonal savvy.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities and experience:

• Min. 1 year experience performing SEO activities in a professional setting.
• Min. 1 year experience in a customer service role, preferably in a technology setting.
• Intermediate understanding of SEO best practices for web content., including keyword selection, link building, content creation, keyword density analysis, site linking, and use of Analytics.
• Excellent writing skills (in the English language) for concise web content.
• Ability to manage time effectively and efficiently, follow procedures and adhere to due dates and established turn-around times with minimal supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail and appreciation for quality and the implications to company and clients’ reputation and branding.
• Adept at problem-solving, including ability to creatively develop solutions and work-arounds as needed.
• Intermediate knowledge of web-based applications and common Internet protocols and conventions (web browsers, email, HTTP, FTP) and Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel) is required. Basic knowledge of web display languages (e.g., HTML, CSS) and CRM database strongly preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate articulately both verbally and in writing; positive customer service experience, including managing difficult situations and difficult people.

Entry-level candidates who lack work experience beyond the internship level are still encouraged to apply. We will consider training new professionals who demonstrating appropriate competencies and a quick aptitude for learning the SEO specialty.

This role is office-based in our Temecula, CA headquarters (not available for tele-commuting).
