Liezl V. Wakeling, CPA serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for ProSites. At ProSites, Liezl is responsible for managing the delivery of finance strategy including accounting, budgeting and reporting to pursue the company’s growth strategy and meet its clients’ and investors’ expectations.
She is a talented financial professional with over 19+ years of experience in accounting management, corporate finance, and strategic leadership. Prior to joining ProSites as a key member of the executive leadership team, Liezl served as the Senior Director of Finance for the 9-1-1 sleeve of Motorola Solutions, Inc., formerly Airbus DS Communications, Inc. In addition to her active CPA status, Liezl is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and a Charter Accountant (CA). She earned her Bachelor of Accounting Science Degree with Honors from the University of South Africa and her Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Stellenbosch.
Outside of work, what can you be found doing?
Riding a dirt bike or off-road side-by-side vehicle, camping in the desert, or somewhere by the ocean. I enjoy spending time with my husband and 2 boys in the outdoors.
If you could have any superpower
what would it be?
Seeing into the future and the ability to have a clean house with the snap of a finger.
What are you passionate about?
Common sense. You can get very far in life by only applying common sense.
One thing you would love to do if
you had the chance?
My biggest dream is going to space. If NASA puts out a tender requesting civilian trials, I will drop everything and go.
