The Role

The IT Director is to plan, direct, manage and oversee the IT activities and operations for our ProSites and CPA Site Solutions. They are also to administer the IT budget, staff and physical facilities of the department.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the management, mentoring and career development of all IT staff.
• Develop Information Technology strategy in support of the company’s mission and core objectives.
• Define and seek approval for the level of IT resources required to meet IT department goals.
• Prioritize and schedule major project initiatives including pre-planning, QA and launch.
• Direct the preparation and implementation of policies, procedures and standards relating to information and telecommunication systems.
• Responsible for researching and evaluating new technologies that will improve service and/or reduce costs to the company.
• Direct, attend and participate in staff meetings and related activities; attend workshops to keep up to date with Information Technology issues.
• Implement network security as appropriate and ensure that company infrastructure meets the needs of customers and the company.
• Develop an annual business plan and operating budget for the department and monitor the implementation of these to ensure that the financial targets are met.
• Negotiate service level agreements, renewal agreements and new contracts with external service providers and monitor service delivery to ensure the agreed targets and standards are met.
• Ensure compliance with all software licensing agreements. Manage and safeguard software media and associated licenses.
• Identify areas of risk and recommend paths forward to reduce that risk. This includes disaster recovery plans, PC refresh and replacement schedules, lease vs. own recommendations, and compatibility assessments.

Essential Duties:

• Extensive experience with Microsoft Exchange; SQL Server; LANs, WLAN’s and WANs; Citrix and other connectivity options.
• Technical knowledge of hardware infrastructure and virtualization
• Experience with software/hardware implementations to a user base that varies regionally.
• Experience managing technology staff in multiple locations/time zones.
• “Hands on” work philosophy. Project management experience is a must
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline.
• Minimum of seven years IT experience at the Senior level of IT Management/Director with supervisory responsibility.
• Demonstrated experience leading hosted and cloud based SaaS environments with VM’s and AWS.
